Budget and location : First things first, before you check anything make sure that the PGs you are looking for fit within your budget & is perfect location wise, which can help you to commute to your workplace or college.

Quality of Food : Most people in paying guests whether a working professional or student like to opt for food as it eases their pain of cooking. If you are a non-vegetarian ask in your PG if they provide non-veg food (even if it is once a day) or if you can cook non-vegetarian food.However, there are also people who like to cook their food regardless of how late they come back from work so check if there is any facility where you can cook your own food.

Transport Facility : Check the availability of metros or any other public transport near your PG as you would want to spend a minimum amount on your commutation.

Security Deposit : Security deposit ranging between one to six months or even more. This is usually done to ensure that tenants don’t leave mid-way. Therefore, it is, important to ask about the terms and conditions:

• It should be ensured that all inmates and staff take safety precautions like wearing masks, washing hands with soap, using hand sanitisers, etc.
• The owner of the PG accommodation should have all the relevant information (Aadhar card / passport / driving license, etc.) of all the paying guests who are staying.
