Commercial use of buildings go unchecked on Golf Course Road
GURUGRAM: Government agencies have failed to reduce commercial tasks being conducted from buildings on Golf Course Road, despite repeated complaints. As per norms, commercial activities aren’t permitted in residential areas, be it settlements, that come under DTCP, or even plots in sectors, falling under HSVP. The bureaus will also be failing to test properties that are commercial coming up on a plot designated as a residential area, flaunting/disregard all norms, which can be causing revenue loss to the state treasury which runs into several crores. Director K M Pandurang, told TOI that DTCP will take strict action against violators. Not only will they be served notices that are new, but a group of officials will also visit the area to check for violations. We are going to bring prohibited activities in the field under control, said Pandurang. Regarding the alleged link between officials and property owners, he also said he will ask to see if the allegations are true, then find out in whose tenure this might had happened, and eventually initiate action against them.
